Quo vadis, Ecclesia?

Síntese: As Diretrizes Gerais da Ação Evangelizadora (DGAE 2011), aprovadas na 49ª Assembleia dos Bispos do Brasil, representam o mapa pastoral da CNBB para os próximos quatro anos. No núcleo central dessas Diretrizes (cap. III e IV) estão cinco “urgências na ação evangelizadora”, e não “desafios”, como em documentos anteriores. Urgências apontam para o ritmo e não para o rumo da pastoral. Mas os desafios não estão ausentes. Às vezes, as próprias urgências podem ser confundidas com desafios. O maior deles, segundo as Diretrizes, é o da mudança de época (26s), o que não é novo nem operacional. As Diretrizes de três décadas atrás foram mais claras quando consideravam seu Objetivo geral “Evangelizar a sociedade brasileira em transformação a partir da opção pelos pobres” (1979).
“Aonde vais, Igreja” é a pergunta que o A., ao longo deste artigo, procura responder. Ele encontra uma resposta em palavras-chave escondidas nas entrelinhas das Diretrizes: profecia, alteridade, gratuidade, encarnação, fidelidade.
Abstract: The General Guidelines of the Evangelizing Action (DGAE 2011), approved at the 49th Assembly of the Bishops of Brazil, represents the CNBB’s pastoral map for the next four years. At the core of these Guidelines (chapters. III and IV) there are five “urgencies of the evangelizing action” and not “challenges” as in previous documents. The word urgencies points towards the rhythm of the pastoral rather than to its course. But there is no lack of challenges. Sometimes, the very urgencies may be mistaken for challenges. The greatest challenge, according to the Guidelines, is that of the change of epoch (26s) something that is neither new nor operational. The Guidelines of three decades ago were clearer when dealing with their General Objective “To evangelize Brazilian society in transformation from the perspective of an option for the poor” (1979).
